About The Event

Dear Colleague:

We would like to invite you to the sixth International Congress on 3D Printing(Additive Manufacturing) Technologies and Digital Industry (3D-PTC2022) which will take place from 22 to 23 November 2022 in  Bucharest, ROMANIA.

The aim of the congress is to bring together universities, industrial organizations, and public institutions from different countries, and to discuss theoretical and practical issues in the fields of 3D printing(Additive Manufacturing) technologies and digital industry. Your prospective, valuable contributions on this field will be evaluated by the scientific committee and the ones approved to be presented will also be published in the conference abstract e-book. “All accepted papers will be published in supporting journals”

3D Printing(Additive Manufacturing) Technologies and Digital Industry encourages multidisciplinary engineering, medical, dental and practioners. Academics and professionals to identify the challenges and discuss solutions for 3D printing technologies and digital industry welcome scientific and practical contributions from different disciplines and fields.

Dr. Roger Narayan

Dr. Roger Narayan is a Distinguished Professor in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University. He is an author of over two hundred publications as well as several book chapters on processing, characterization, and modeling of biomedical materials. Dr. Narayan has edited several books, including the textbook Biomedical Materials (Springer), the handbook Materials for Medical Devices (ASM International), and the Encyclopedia of Biomedical Engineering (Elsevier). Dr. Narayan has received several honors for his research activities, including the NCSU Alcoa Foundation Engineering Research Achievement Award, the NCSU Sigma Xi Faculty Research Award, the University of North Carolina Jefferson-Pilot Fellowship in Academic Medicine, the University of North Carolina Junior Faculty Development Award, the National Science Faculty Early Career Development Award, the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award, and the American Ceramic Society Richard M. Fulrath Award. He has been elected as Fellow of the Materials Research Society, ASM International, American Ceramic Society, AAAS, and AIMBE.

Prof. Dr. Ion N. Mihailescu, Senior Scientific Researcher 1st degree, graduated his Ph.D. from Central Institute of Physics, Bucharest in 1982, in the area of laser-matter interactions. His expertise includes: laser interactions; lasers and plasma physics; nanostructured thin films technology, nanopowders generation and characterization, surface physics and engineering, deposition and modification of thin solid structures by high intensity laser irradiation; laser spectroscopy; biophysics and biomedicine; nano- bio- technologies, gas- and bio- sensors, plasma and laser theory; modification and characterization of nanostructured thin coatings obtained by (C)-PLD and (C)-MAPLE; laser surface studies and processing; biomaterials thin layers; tissue engineering; biomimetic metallic implants; optoelectronics and sensors. He is the first recipient of Galileo Galilei award and OSA Fellow 2019.

Dr. Javaid Butt

Digital twins in Manufacturing

Dr Javaid But is a specialist in the fields of Additive Manufacturing and Industry 4.0. He is working as an Associate Professor of Digital Manufacturing in the Faculty of Science & Engineering at Anglia Ruskin University. Dr Butt has won over £5.8 million in the past 5 years from different funding sources (including Innovate UK, Erasmus+, Interreg North Sea Region, KTP, KEEP+). Majority of his work is with industrial collaborators where he has successfully delivered projects of commercial value. His research work helped him in winning the Vice Chancellor’s Award in the Outstanding Research and Innovation Established Researcher category for exceptional contribution to Anglia Ruskin University’s ambitions in November 2021. Dr Butt has designed and developed several new manufacturing systems to various technology readiness levels to produce plastic, metal, and composite products using different automation principles and programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python). His research in these areas has been published extensively in reputed international journals with 37 publications since 2015. He has also provided consultancies to several national/international businesses and led several knowledge exchange activities. Dr Butt’s current research focuses on the development of digital twins for additive manufacturing systems to enhance their performance using data-driven models and machine learning algorithms.

Submitting Full-Text Paper:

 Papers must be sent in English.Presentations can be made in their own language. 

• Authors can present their manuscripts either oral presentation or poster.

• All submissions will be peer-reviewed based on originality, technical quality and presentation.

• Authors can sent abstract and full text manuscripts via online from symposium website.

• The maximum number of pages for the papers is limited 10 pages (including tables, figures and references). 

• Papers that will be sent by e-mail, fax or etc. will not be accepted by scientific commitee.

• Formal correspondences about manuscripts will be performed with corresponding author.
